The design is a modified 7 circuit, with a 3’ wide path and 1’ wide flat ‘wall’ between.
There are garden beds situated between the 4 cardinal directions, with 4 flagstone benches marking East, South, West & North just outside the perimeter of the walkway. Engraved pavers line the periphery of the labyrinth. In late fall, 2005, a group of volunteers planted hundreds of donated bulbs in anticipation of a colorful Spring blossoming.
The perennials, planted in the Spring of 2006, were chosen for their healing properties, to suit the local climate, as well as beauty, smell and symbolic colors: purple/blue for NW; purple/yellow for the NE; red/yellow for SE and blue/red at the SW entrance.

A small group of people gathered over the course of several years to co-create a permanent, public, wheelchair accessible labyrinth in the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens. We all contributed variously towards design, fundraising, marketing, researching / choosing materials, contracting labor and choosing plants. On November 16, 2004, a dedication for the Garden Labyrinth brought together local dignitaries, supporters and spiritual leaders. The labyrinth stones and entrance path were laid in the autumn of 2005.
